Community Giving by The Tuwanek Hotel Boutique Bed and Breakfast, BC

At The Tuwanek Hotel we practice a philosophy of giving back to the communities in which we operate and also volunteer programs that are guests have an active interest in. The Tuwanek Hotel supports a variety of fundraising initiatives in the BC Sunshine Coast and other communities each year. Our focus is on helping children and supporting fundraising events for not-for-profit organizations by donating gifts in kind such as room stays, room and dinner packages and massage and Spa Services. The Tuwanek Hotel does not provide cash donations.

At the beginning of each year we review applications for sponsorship and then set our plans and programs for supporting these community events.

To be considered for a donation, your request must include:

• Full name of organization, address, daytime telephone and fax numbers, and a contact name.
• Charitable registered number, if applicable.
• A brief history of the organization and its purpose, along with the significance of its work, the member benefits and the geographic area it serves in 100 words or less.
• Description of the specific event or program, including event date.
• Description of how the funds raised will be used.
• If the donation is to be used at an event, include the expected number of attendees.
• Specify what type of donation you are looking for from The Tuwanek Hotel (i.e. Prize or gift certificate).
